1 Why did you choose a dental career, and what do you enjoy about it?

Dentistry aligns very well with my personality and what I find most satisfying. I enjoy just about every aspect of dentistry. From managing the business, leading my team, educating patients and physically performing the dental work, I find it all very fulfilling. Dentistry is my work and my hobby.

2 What motivates your interest in volunteerism, and what do you get out of it?

My gratitude for being a dental professional is what motivates me to give back. So many people in my life have guided me, supported me and sacrificed for me to have the knowledge and skills that I possess. I feel it is only natural to use what I have been given to help those around me. The primary fruit
from my experience in volunteer dentistry is seeing the direct impact it has on another individual. My experiences have also allowed me to witness first hand the willingness of my colleagues, friends and community members to stand together and “make it happen.”

3 How do you envision your career progressing?

I very much enjoy private practice and I envision myself staying with it for quite a while. I constantly seek what will make me a better provider and how to make my work space a positive environment for my team and patients. In the coming years I hope to achieve Diplomate status in the American Board of Oral Implantology. In the more distant future, I believe I would enjoy teaching in some capacity.
