Dorian Response
The Medical Reserve Corps, a team of volunteers pre-identified to provide support in emergencies, led an outpouring of medical and nonmedical volunteers in September, when Augusta sheltered evacuees from Hurricane Dorian.

Marion’s Final
White Coat Ceremony
Dr. Lucy Marion, longtime dean of the College of Nursing, participated in her last white coat ceremony after over 50 years in nursing. The August event welcomed 320 nursing students to the program.

 

Commissioning Ceremony
In May, 14 officers were commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army at the Army ROTC Commissioning Ceremony held at the Maxwell Theatre.

 

Hidden JagGems
In an effort to reach out and connect with more students on campus, an Augusta University police officer developed a Jaguar-themed scavenger hunt. Students finding the rocks can choose to keep them or turn them in for a swag bag of Augusta University items.
